My Story

FASH Forward’s journey began with a trip to Sri Lanka in 2020. I came across a brand collecting colourful rice sacks dumped on beaches and up-cycling them into weekend bags and other fashion accessories. This concept of reuse, resourcefulness and creativity made me think differently about waste, and I thought could the same creativity be applied to all waste?
Following this trip I returned to London where I was working at Yahoo and relalised I wanted to be part of a movement that reconsidered waste and consumption. I returned to Cork in September 2022 to study Sustainability in Business and establish FASH Forward.
